We are an Episcopal Christian community in the Catholic tradition, centered on the worship of God in Jesus Christ.
Episcopal:
Part of the American Episcopal Church USA and the Anglican Communion. Our roots are in the English Reform of the 16th Century, which tried to preserve the best of tradition while remaining open to new reforming energy, insights, and experiences of the Gospel.
Christian:
We follow Jesus Christ, the Son of God made fully human; whom we believe to be Lord and Liberator. We accept his redeeming love and mercy, search the Scriptures to deepen our knowledge of him, seek daily contact with him through prayer, and serve one another and those in need.
Anglo-Catholic:
We worship with a strong sense of the awe and mystery of God in Christ, which we experience through symbol, sacrament, and a life of daily prayer and service to those in need. This way of being Episcopalian is called "Anglo-Catholic", from the 19th Century movement that sought to recover the ancient riches of Christian practice.
